Take these shortcuts when you have to stay awake but napping isn’t an option.

1. Savor Dark Chocolate
The dark kind has more caffeine than milk chocolate plus sugar to pep you up. Four squares at most won’t make you crash.
2. Do An Espresso Shot Or Two
One espresso has the same caffeine as a cup of regular joe. Two or three in a short time produces an energy surge, but a crash will eventually follow.
3. Have An Energy Drink
One of these per day is safe for most people, but expect to fade once it wears off. And, never mix it with alcohol.
4. Rock Out
Know how rock bands always pump up the crowd? Cranking up rock or hip-hop anthems will have the same effect on your stamina.
